Four Data Analyst candidates describe the Adyen process, and all four report a no-offer outcome. Their accounts differ in length. Two describe three stages, one describes four main rounds, and one describes six rounds.
Two candidates report a SQL and Python assessment. One calls it a HackerRank test that took about 1.5 to 2 hours and says LLM help was not allowed. Another describes a take-home that took a few hours and was reasonable in difficulty. Neither suggests the technical screen was where candidates struggled.
The later conversations were more open-ended. One candidate says an onsite with two team analysts centered on a project where the setup was not sufficient long term, plus a technical explanation of their current analytics stack. That candidate's feedback was that they took too long to get to the point. Another candidate in a separate process reports being asked how they understood Adyen's core business model, and describes a scenario about coaching a junior colleague whose new way of working was not landing well. A third was asked what they would do if they could not deliver a new task on time.
The pattern in these reports is that applied judgment mattered more than technical drills. Practice a short, concrete account of one project you owned. Know how your current data setup works. Be able to say how Adyen makes money as a payments company. Keep answers concise. Candidate experience of interviewer quality was uneven in one report, so give each round your full depth.

Synthesized from candidate reports. Individual experiences may vary.
Candidates report starting with a recruiter screen or a roughly 30-minute chat with the hiring manager. The talk covers the role, Adyen's business and how your background fits. One candidate describes it as professional and well structured, so prepare a concise account of your analytics experience.
Two candidates report a SQL and Python assessment. One describes a HackerRank test of about 1.5 to 2 hours with no LLM help allowed. The other describes a take-home that took a few hours. Both describe it as reasonable or not especially hard, so expect to demonstrate clean fundamentals rather than anything exotic.
Candidates describe conversations with analysts, a hiring manager or a PM. One onsite in Amsterdam was a 45-minute round with two analysts. Topics reported include a project where the technical setup was limiting, your current analytics stack, and your understanding of Adyen's business model. Answers should be concrete and concise.
Some candidates report scenario questions such as coaching a junior colleague or handling a task you cannot deliver on time. One reports a one-hour case study that was praised. Expect these to test judgment and communication, and prepare real examples from your own work.
The longest reported process was described as six rounds, including a leadership interview and a senior-leader conversation, though that account is not fully consistent about when the rejection came. Another candidate reports four main rounds with a final-round remark that the conversation was too surface level.
