Candidates describe Siemens Digital Industries Software engineer interviews as a mix of C++ and OOP fundamentals, coding problems, resume deep dives and manager or HR conversations. Reported round counts run from 3 to 5.

Candidates who interviewed for Siemens Digital Industries Software engineering roles most often describe C++ and object-oriented fundamentals as the core of the process. Reports mention polymorphism, virtual functions, pointers versus references, STL containers and memory management. One candidate also recalls Java OOP, multithreading and a hashmap collision question. Expect to explain these ideas out loud, and expect follow-up questions asking why an answer holds.
Coding difficulty varies. One candidate described mostly easy-to-medium LeetCode-style problems. A C++ candidate described mediums and hards, including LRU Cache and binary tree path problems. Another was asked to design a chess game in a low-level design round and later solved trapping rain water and a medium dynamic programming question. Trees came up in more than one account, so they are worth practicing. Math and logic puzzles also appear in both technical and HR rounds.
Resume and project discussion shows up repeatedly. One candidate said interviewers focused on design decisions, trade-offs and individual contributions, and that talking through real projects was where they felt most confident.
Interviewers are generally described as collaborative. Several candidates said interviewers guided them when they got stuck and wanted to hear their reasoning, so practice narrating your thought process rather than jumping to a final answer. One candidate wished they had prepared more for OOP and design pattern questions in a later screening round.
Reported round counts range from three to five. Rounds often combine an online or onsite exam, one or more technical interviews, and a manager, director or HR conversation.

Real interview reports from people who went through the Siemens Digital Industries Software process.
I went through three rounds in total. The first was an online interview covering basic data structures and algorithms and a math puzzle. The second was a face-to-face DSA and low-level design interview, where I was asked to design a chess game. The third was a managerial interview that also included the trapping rain water problem and a medium-difficulty dynamic programming question.

Synthesized from candidate reports. Individual experiences may vary.
One candidate's first round was a personal interview with a senior manager and a tech lead about their background, why they were interested in the role and how past work connected to the job.
Some candidates report an exam before or alongside the live technical interviews. One described an online C++ and problem-solving exam followed by an onsite exam on the same ground. Another recalls a technical interview built around roughly 20 multiple-choice questions, and a third a technical exam covering puzzles, OOP and basic data structures.
Candidates typically describe one to three technical rounds with engineers or a tech lead. Reported topics include polymorphism, memory management, STL containers, data structures, trees, linked lists, debugging edge cases and low-level design. One candidate said an interviewer kept following answers with why and what-if questions, so be ready to defend trade-offs and explain complexity rather than just reach a working solution.
Some candidates report that interviewers spent significant time on their resume and projects. One candidate said questions covered design choices, challenges faced, optimizations and their individual contribution. Prepare one or two projects you can discuss in depth, including the alternatives you rejected.
Later conversations are reported with directors, managers, team leads or HR. Candidates describe questions about teamwork, communication, the hardest parts of their work and why they want the role. One candidate's managerial round also included trapping rain water and a dynamic programming question. Outcomes among these reports range from offers to no offer or withdrawal.
