The candidate should have a high level of curiosity about our customers' needs and be able to translate their needs into a clear and concise message to help develop solutions. The successful candidate needs to be a creative and resourceful team player, working closely with all functions at Covaris (Marketing, Sales, Applications, R&D, Manufacturing, and Engineering). This position is for product management of Covaris products within the applications of Proteomics and FFPE Extraction. In this role, we seek a self-motivated individual with a scientific background, strong product management experience, and experience in protein analysis across different industry primarily focusing on Biopharma. The candidate should have knowledge about protein analysis conducted across clinical research, academic, and biopharmaceutical discovery and late-stage bioanalytical workflow.</p><h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Develop the strategic vision for the product portfolio, including new product development and life cycle management.</li><li>Identify, engage, and drive strategic collaborations and acquisitions.</li><li>Monitor, assess, and understand competitive companies and products and their relationship to Covaris' product portfolio.</li><li>Understanding and experience of how Covaris products are used in Proteomics applications AND/OR FFPE extraction applications.</li><li>Develop, in conjunction with stakeholders, sales tools, marketing messaging, training tools, and collateral.</li><li>Lead a Key Opinion Leader network to support existing products and the development of new products.</li><li>Act as a true subject matter expert in Product Management and Strategic Development.</li><li>Coordinate the deployment of materials to Covaris' distribution partners.</li><li>Acquire deep customer knowledge by interacting with customers to gain understanding of their technical requirements and translate to product definition and development.</li><li>Align with Sales, Marketing, and Applications on technical product requirements for new products.</li><li>Work with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Applications to analyze new business opportunities.</li><li>Create and own product development strategy and roadmap; identify areas of growth, create strategic marketing plans to drive product definition and development, customer engagement, and market penetration.</li><li>Assist with the development of a marketing plan which includes sales strategies and tactics for sales and distribution channels; including, but not limited to: marketing material, sales collateral, launch material, presentations, and training.</li><li>Have a strong expertise in sample preparation by knowing the market, competition, and trends.</li><li>Familiar with commercialization plans which includes using sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure profitability of product lines.
