Kaiser Permanente Business Analyst Interview Guide

Two candidates describe Kaiser Permanente interviews that begin with a short conversation and then move to a more demanding second round. Both second rounds included a prepared presentation, so plan to show how you work through a problem, not only what you concluded.

The candidate who received a Business Analyst offer describes a 15-minute screen with the hiring manager, then a 30-minute panel with the manager and two teammates. The panel covered prioritization and task management. It also covered SQL, Python, data pipelines, Tableau and Power BI. One question asked for a project that used SQL and Python together and how the results were validated. That candidate says the process took about a month from first contact to decision.

The other report comes from an MBA Summer Consultant interview, a different title, so treat it as a looser comparison. That candidate had a phone screen and then an in-person round with a presentation and a handwritten SQL test. They were also asked what they would do if two managers gave them the same deadline, and what the biggest challenge Kaiser Permanente should solve is. That candidate did not receive an offer and found the process somewhat disorganized.

Prepare one end-to-end analytics project you can explain clearly, including how you checked your numbers. Practice writing basic SQL without an editor. Have a structured answer ready for competing stakeholder priorities. The evidence is limited to two reports, so confirm the format with your recruiter.
