What You Will Do: D esign, develop, and maintain flight-critical embedded software for military and commercial aviation solutions and avionics products. U tilize embedded operating systems, C code, networking protocols, device drivers, hardware interface tools, simulations, and integrated development environments in creative ways to support product health monitoring. S pecify requirements, implement software, develop test procedures, perform verification, and complete artifacts for certification. P erform hardware and low-level software integration, resolving complex issues around timing, device configuration, power-on sequences, data synchronization, and more. C oordinate with other project team members to ensure smooth operations and compliance with program and product requirements. E ffectively communicate technical progress, risks, opportunities, and necessary design alterations to software leads. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 Embedded C and Platform Level Software Experience. Qualification We Prefer: Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes is preferred. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and an understanding of their application in safety-critical avionics systems. Demonstrated ability to lead a team through the full software development cycle in a regulated industry, preferably with experience in avionics software projects. The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
