As a Senior Software Engineer on the Product Team at Qualified, you will tackle technically challenging and ambiguous problems by building exceptional products and enhancing our processes and technology. You will work on integrating LLMs, embeddings, and other AI technologies into our product offerings, pushing the boundaries of what's possible to deliver innovative features and exceptional user experiences. Our product team emphasizes rapid experimentation and iteration, and you will own the end-to-end delivery and success of features—from coding and testing to deployment, monitoring, and customer rollout—while maintaining high standards of engineering and code quality. Additionally, you will work closely with customers, gathering immediate feedback to continuously improve our products and ensure they meet user needs effectively. Your Responsibilities

Develop customer-focused applications by building new features, improving existing ones, and creating entirely new products. Utilize the latest advances in machine learning, LLMs and other AI technologies to enhance our products and deliver delightful user experiences. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform Engineers to ideate and develop mission-critical applications. Conduct rapid prototyping and iterative development to enhance AI solutions based on real-world performance and user feedback. Ensure our core functionality is stable, scalable, well-maintained, and continuously improving. Continuously grow your technical skills to tackle our toughest challenges related to quality, performance, robustness, and reliability. Contribute to our team’s culture and future by mentoring other engineers and setting standards of engineering excellence. Support and scale highly-available, highly-trafficked services essential for our customers' time-sensitive, business-critical needs. Qualifications - Technical Skills

5+ years of experience in professional full-stack software development, with a recent focus on leveraging AI/ML technologies. Expertise in working with all components of a modern web application. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, systems design, and working with large-scale, low-latency systems. Experience using frontier-scale LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini) programmatically for developing applications in production environments is a plus. Experience working with SQL and RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred) and data warehousing solutions. Strong software engineering practices, including coding, unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation. B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience). Qualifications - Business Skills

Advanced proficiency with English, both written and verbal Passionate about crafting innovative, user-centric solutions, solving intricate technical problems, and making a tangible impact. Highly curious about engineering beyond immediate discipline with a desire to stay at the cutting edge of applied AI. Driven by the challenge of creating elegant, intuitive, and user-friendly products. Self-directed, independent, and experienced in owning complete features and products. Fearless in stepping outside their comfort zone to tackle various challenges and opportunities as we rapidly grow the product and team. Proactive in sharing thoughts and input; we value open communication over a heads-down environment. Experience working with Agile methodologies. Would be a plus

Previous experience working within a startup environment or scaling a product/platform is a plus Experience architecting applications within a monorepo
