The Role at a Glance    Lincoln National Corporation seeks a Software Engineer in Radnor, PA to consult/analyze and deliver assignments/projects for Group Protection IT Claims of application development responsibility. Act as a resource and develop complex innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing production support. Deliver business application software solutions following system development life cycle process. Maintain current and emerging developments/trends for Group Protection Claims, assess impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions. Analyze, design, code, debug, integrate and test software application solutions for systems. Research, develop, implement, maintain, analyze, document procedure, and provide input and validates increasingly complex business application solutions and existing programs to determine requirements, solution, test and implement plans. Create Group Protection systems, tools and functionality, with a focus on Claims and Eventing solutions of increasingly complex technical specifications from business requirements/business specifications. Prepare and/or generate test data and automated tests for functional and non-functional requirements. Investigate and resolve problems including providing support for production systems.

Requirements:    Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering or related IT field; 3 years experience in creating, enhancing, modernizing, and supporting applications and service orientated solutions supported by Java, Spring Boot and Spring frameworks, SQL, GraphQL, Postgress and React. Experience must include:
3 years develop solutions running on prem and Cloud / AWS, specifically experience migrating / rewriting solutions from on prem to Cloud / AWS;
3 years utilizing Java, Junit, Spring frameworks, Services, SQL, Postgress, React, and AWS to analyze, design, code, debug, integrate and test software application solutions for systems to manage deploying, monitoring and supporting of full lifecycle of web applications. Including experience developing solution utilizing event based architectural patterns;
3 years utilizing at least two of the tools Atlassian, JIRA, Confluence, New Relic, Splunk, Git or Slack, to drive operations and collaboration with Agile team, cross team, business partners and stakeholders;
3 years developing Back-end and Front-end solutions utilizing API and service based integrations to construct and implement software within a full stack environment;
3 years with Agile software development methodologies; and
1 year utilizing queuing, eventing architectural principles and tooling, CI/CD and industry standard security scanning solutions.

The pay range for this position is $105,206 - $130,000 with  anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range  and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
