This work will enable mechanistic understanding of materials down to the atomistic level, rapid material screening, identification of degradation mechanisms and mitigation strategies, and quantitative analysis of process kinetics in different materials systems. Particular emphasis is placed on coupling atomistic-level insights with mesoscale and continuum-level models. To support the interpretation, you may perform a variety of postmortem analyses (scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman microscopy, etc.).
