PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Quantitative Analyst for the Utility of the Future will design and develop proprietary simulation models to support portfolio valuation, pricing, risk management, and overall strategic planning for innovative utility platform initiatives. As a member of the Advanced Analytics team, the successful candidate will collaborate directly with economists, financial engineers, risk analysts, and policy experts. He or she will apply quantitative techniques to measure and analyze model risks and form opinions on the strengths and limitations of the respective models. Responsibilities: 
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION 
 
  
 
This job is responsible for proposing and developing new liquidity models, building collateral and liquidity modeling infrastructure, designing, and prototyping collateral metrics, overseeing the daily production of collateral and liquidity reporting systems and databases, providing analytical support to Risk and Commercial functions, overseeing the liquidity and collateral methodologies. Design and prototype new collateral and liquidity risk metrics, assist with the establishment of liquidity controls and monitoring activities · Building the liquidity modeling infrastructure including the production models, automated reports, databases, job scheduling systems, provide quantitative analyses for Finance and Risk functions, as well as commercial teams.  
 
  
 
Examples include liquidity stress scenarios, collateral allocation strategy, collateral optimization. Work closely with all credit and risk functions, commercial business, and IT on developing efficient liquidity and collateral reporting tools. Maintain and expand existing liquidity reporting, analytical tools, and databases which are used by the Credit Risk Group for measuring and analyzing risks associated with the company’s liquidity and collateral. Diligently pursue information and conduct research to understand energy products, introduce best business practices, and propose new modeling methodologies.

• Advanced degree in economics, quantitative finance, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent quantitative disciplines  
• 4-year degree and minimum 5 years related experience including at least 3 years’ experience in financial or energy industry 
• Demonstrated ability to perform responsibilities under time pressure with a high degree of accuracy, to prioritize multiple tasks effectively, build consensus, and adapt to evolving business needs  
• A motivated self-starter and creative thinker with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization  
• Solid experience using programming languages or analytical packages commonly used in model development, such as C/C++, Matlab, R, SAS, and SQL

Prior energy industry experience with demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the wholesale and competitive retail business and the North American energy market infrastructure
