Flint Hills Resourcesis seeking aProduct Managerto lead an IT team focused on transforming FHR's work processes through application of technology. The Product Manager is a key leader for FHR that partners closely with FHR capabilities to deliver on technology roadmaps to advance the business. The aim of FHR's business-focused technology roadmaps is to create competitive advantage through industry-leading data and information management strategies and leveraging data to automate decision making. FHR IT Product teams maximize return on investments in technology through an intense focus on solving business problems and optimizing total cost of ownership.

What You Will Do
* Supervise a small team of Product Owners and Product Analysts
* Organize and manage the delivery of work on a portfolio of products that enable transformation of FHR's Pricing & Market Data and Credit/Risk work processes
* Contribute to advancing FHR's Product Management capability through collaboration with a peer group of approximately 10 other Product Managers

* Collaborate with business and work process leaders to ensure your team's product backlogs align with FHR's vision state. Contribute to strategic decision-making that advances the organization's goals by engaging cross-functional teams to propose diverse sets of alternatives.
* Deliver excellent results by leveraging the strengths of your Product team and collaborating with other FHR capabilities, such as Architecture and Engineering. Engage in strategic partnerships with external market players to drive innovation and create competitive advantage.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* 5+ years in product management, program/portfolio management, or another technology-focused role
* Experience mentoring and developing talent through direct supervision, including people management and coaching cross-functional teams
* Experience leading teams of diverse capabilities in delivery of technology and/or business transformation
* Strong ability to anticipate, recognize, and mitigate technical and organizational challenges
* Experience influencing executive stakeholders

What Will Put You Ahead
* Experience with Pricing, Credit, and Risk work processesin an enterprise setting
* Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
* Experience with Graph databases, AWS services, and data integrations, particularly in cloud-based environments

Works with Associations to understand their needs. Maintains a backlog of potential enhancements, prioritized based on business value. Understands and influences vendor roadmaps. Determines which changes will be part of the standard solution vs. developed ad hoc (with an SOW with one Association).  The Product Manager will be responsible for products from ideation to implementation and ensuring that existing products and applications meet customer expectations.  The Product Manager will collaborate closely with executive leadership, stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to ensure that products meet critical success measurements and is responsible for the P&L of the product(s) they own. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Manage the backlog of requests for new features, applying prioritization frameworks as necessary.  2. Focuses on business problems, not solutions. Assess whether an Association’s needs can be met with existing solutions.   3. Create and manage product roadmap.  4. Understand and influence vendor roadmaps and assess impact on Association processes.  5. Assess whether a requested feature should become part of the base product or be a one-off enhancement for a particular Association.  6. Responsible for ideation, scoping, development, launch, and follow-up on features.  7. Define and analyze metrics that measure the success of products.  8. Communicate business needs to product support.  9. Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to stakeholders across the organization.  10. Execute Buy, Build, or Partner Analysis for new capabilities.  11. Define “minimum viable product” & product direction.   12. Perform stakeholder interviews. 13. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education including a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management, finance, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience. 8+ years' experience advising or acting as a leader in a product-led business technology organization. 6+ years’ experience as a product manager, product owner or related experience. Preferred experience with loan origination or loan accounting processes in the Farm Credit System or financial industry and developing and facilitating user-training. Experience in working on (or leading initiatives) including lending, servicing, and general accounting. Strong knowledge of finance market, regulatory environment, and regulatory compliance pertaining to Farm Credit Associations (FCAs) and banking. Experience and  knowledge in Agile methodology. Strong relationship management skills. Skill in gathering, compiling, organizing, and analyzing information. Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization (peers, management, C-Suite leadership, and customers). The ability to describe and demonstrate new and existing features to foster problem-solving and illustrate the value of the product. Knowledge of developing and facilitating user training and basic architecture of how digital applications are designed (UI vs back-end). Ability to communicate features to association leaders and employees and strong abilities to influence, keep team members engaged, and drive productive meetings. Familiar with lending and credit underwriting functions. Understands and creates product metrics, e.g., KPI’s and OKRs. Entrepreneurial spirit, self-reliance, and a willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” to understand details. Curiosity and a growth mindset. Moderate travel with overnight stays as required.  The need for travel will depend upon projects. Regular attendance is required on this job, with the ability to work a full 8-hour day.  Overtime as required to meet deadlines.
