Job Purpose: The Product Manager for Royal Enfield Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA) will lead the creation of global product strategies and plans. The role, along with the GMA product strategy team, defines and shapes future accessory product portfolios for the business globally. Working with sales, marketing, industrial design, design engineering, supply chain development, programme management and finance, the role holder creates product plans that engage the customers, deliver strong financial returns, and meet or exceed all regulatory requirements. The role provides the necessary analysis and support to make key strategic decisions in the area of long-term product forecasting in all regions of the globe. The role conducts market research to instill a deep customer understanding into the business and product development activities. Key Responsibility: <ul><li>Responsible for managing a product (or family of products) within the company range, delivering the strategic product objectives for accessory development; including feature requirements, pricing and volumes. </li><li>Identifying brand and customer requirements; translating these requirements into deliverable engineering metrics to ensure successful product developments. </li><li>Ensuring contents and features are innovative, competitive, maximize profit on the product and sustained business growth. </li><li>Analyzing market and competitive conditions and laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. </li><li>The role will span many activities from strategic to tactical and provides cross-functional communication, bridging gaps within the company between different functions; most notably between engineering-oriented teams, sales and marketing, as well as support functions</li><li>Carry out extensive research into the market, customers, their desires and their problems and curate ideas to fulfill the value proposition for the product line and business.</li><li>Define and represent the product roadmap. The Product Manager owns the master list of possible changes to the product, and is responsible for representing the rationale behind prioritization.</li><li>Communicate product positioning, features and benefits to internal and external audiences such as our marketing and sales teams, creative agencies, media, dealers and consumers.</li><li>Develop business cases and volume assessments for your product using rigorous research and analytics in the automotive and motorcycle industries.</li><li>Develop and maintain a Competitive Product database.</li><li>Develop Project Definitions, defining project targets, scope and timelines.</li><li>Evaluate engineering prototypes at various stages of development.</li><li>Work with marketing to coordinate product launch plans including timing, pricing, product materials, talking points, training, etc.</li><li>Write user stories with detailed requirements and clear acceptance criteria.</li><li>Be responsible for the assigned model(s), cradle to grave, and all lifecycle planning actions - from advanced planning (full model changes) to launch of each model year.</li><li>Lead and ensure implementation of "buildable" product configurations during the planning phase of each new vehicle. Ensure the final consistency & correctness of the product specifications prior to the launch phase of the product.</li><li>Determine, implement and communicate model year change points, including sales configurations, throughout the lifecycle of the product.</li><li>Determine build-out strategies for each model year and end of the product life cycle</li></ul> Experience:<ul><li>6-8 Years of experience in a similar role.</li><li>Motorcycle industry experience is advantageous.</li><li>Product Management or Development experience in a product driven company with a global customer base.</li><li>Experience of developing and managing product/feature business cases, including volume and pricing assessment.</li><li>Proven success in all phases of the product life cycle; identification of need, development of product requirements, product design, quality and production hand-off, launch and ongoing product management.</li><li>An in-depth knowledge of the automotive or motorcycle market.
