The Head of Data Products is a senior leader of the Data team, responsible for developing and executing the data product strategy, vision, and roadmap. This individual will work closely with the various functional units (such as marketing, risk, and operations) as well as their peer teams (such as engineering and info-security) to bring data to life and drive business value. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Drives data vision and strategy for the firm to ensure it creates a right fit for Jenius Bank, but also for the parent, SMBC.</li> <li>Acts as the business driver for data product initiatives.</li> <li>Creates business case, showcases value delivered, and drives an agenda, which may be both B2C and B2B2C.</li> <li>Demonstrates executive presence and strong results-focused culture for priority and resources.</li> <li>Collaborates with business functional units to unleash business value, by ingesting data sources at scale, allowing for data exploration and experimentation, and at maturity democratizing the data.</li> <li>Drives work for engineering. Delivers most value for engineering resources spent.</li> <li>Attracts, builds, and maintains a best-in-class data team.</li> <li>Fosters a healthy work environment.</li> <li>Ability to work remotely, but willing to travel when necessary to drive business outcomes.</li></ul> Position Requirements POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Engineering, and/or Business Administration Experience, Skills & Qualifications: <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in a data-forward organization.</li> <li>10+ years in a senior product management role, leading development teams through planning, refinement, review, and sprint reviews, gathering and documenting requirements, researching/resolving issues, and providing system production support.</li> <li>Dynamic, articulate, energetic, and self-starter personality with demonstrated ability to translate product strategy and the product roadmap into executable development plans.</li> <li>Ability to interact professionally with executives, subject matter experts, business operations team members, technology professionals, software developers, and project managers.</li> <li>Results-driven individual with good business acumen; ability to understand the problem to be solved and deliver appropriate solutions that balance impact, effort, and alignment to objectives</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport, credibility, and influence with others across the company.</li> <li>Strong technical aptitude to learn, understand, and work with a variety of cloud and data technologies, APIs, databases, and visualization tools.</li> <li>Strong presentation and communication skills with an ability to simplify and clearly articulate concepts at all levels of the organization and across functions.</li> <li>Experience driving solutions from concept to delivery, working cross-functionally to define, design, develop, deliver, and iterate.</li> <li>Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills.</li> <li>Self-Starter and able to work with minimum supervision and in support of the data solutions team initiatives.
