They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Core Responsibilities: <ul> <li> Lead engineers, through example and mentorship, in solving high priority challenging problems leveraging your advanced problem solving, creativity and leadership skills. </li> <li> Support Operational Strategy for area of responsibility. </li> <li> Define and implement effective process monitoring tools and techniques to fully quantify process characteristics. </li> <li> Partner with development teams in the achievement of innovation objectives and execution of successful product/process launches. </li> <li> Evaluate products for manufacturability and provide technical guidance for corrective/preventative actions. </li> <li> Define and execute operational plans and strategy </li> <li> Develops engineering organizational strategy to provide exceptional customer experiences to both internal and external stakeholders </li> <li> Assess risk and compliance across area of responsibility. </li> <li> Develop and maintain a high performing engineering team. </li> <li> Manage Capex budget for area of responsibility. </li> <li> Ensure performance and development activities are completed in accordance with TE policies and procedures. </li> <li> Support safety initiatives. </li> <li> Drive innovation and apply a dynamic approach to market demands and trends. </li> <li> Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency. </li> <li> Adapt/modify traditional approaches to enhance quality or value to existing methods. </li> <li> Determine best course of action to meet schedules and/or resolve technical challenges. </li> </ul> What your background should look like: <ul> <li> You bring a strong foundational knowledge in thermoplastic processing, including material science and polymer extrusion. </li> <li> You have exceptional communication skills and can effectively engage both internal and external customers. </li> <li> You have a BS/MS in related Engineering field.
