About the role: OfferUp is seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead our Communications Team. The OfferUp Communications team is responsible for two critical infrastructure pieces at OfferUp: Chat and Notifications. These are critical systems that allow OfferUp to communicate with our users, as well as for Buyers and Sellers to connect. In this role, you will lead a high-functioning team of backend/frontend engineers. You will foster an engineering culture focused on learning and rapid validation of ideas through experimentation. Individual salaries within our ranges are determined through a variety of factors including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. All roles will receive equity in OfferUp as part of their compensation, the amount of equity varying depending on the individual's level and experience.
