What you'll do Every record in our data warehouse is vitally important for the businesses that use Stripe, so we're looking for people with a strong background in data engineering and analytics to help us scale while maintaining correct and complete data. You'll be working with a variety of internal teams across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Product, and Accounting to ensure data completeness and billing reliability. Your work will directly improve Stripe user experience by ensuring billing accuracy allowing Stripe to scale new commercial models. Responsibilities <ul><li>Collaborate across the company, including engineering, product, accounting, finance, sales, operations, to calculate the Stripe fees for the customers, often the largest, most complex, and strategic deals.</li><li>Become a domain expert on Stripe's business economics, and consult others (e.g. sales and products) on questions like user billing capabilities and pricing structure support.</li><li>Introduce data and process efficiencies (such as setting up relevant metrics) to meet the scale and speed of Stripe.</li><li>Identify and automate operational processes to increase operational efficiency. </li><li>Scale our User Billing operation by driving the design, documentation, and training of operational processes and domain knowledge.</li></ul>Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices.
