Primary Function The Senior Business Analyst works with the business and IT and leads the team in delivering the best solutions using the latest Agile methodologies. These solutions will take the form of technology products and process improvements. The Senior Business Analyst analyzes the business need, defines the best solution, and facilitates the successful implementation of complex solutions through hands-on work, interfacing with development resources and creating other materials to support the process. The Senior Business Analyst may also have some supervisory and leadership responsibilities within the Vendor Management Team. Principal Duties Transform the business by rapidly delivering the best designed solutions as prioritized by the company’s strategic and productivity goals.
Organizes and plans the best approach to the business need and guides the business in achieving the best solution with multiple points of integration and risks.
Brings depth of mortgage subject matter expertise, technical knowledge and analytical skills to all tasks and projects.
Normalize data in Vendor Management’s system of record.
Own and manage large pipeline of Vendor reviews and invoicing while maintaining rapid pace of deliverables and solutions.
Conceptually engineer solutions in a variety of systems, platforms and tools – choosing the right option for the problem by balancing complexities, risks, speed-to-market and other factors.
Work with business units to develop vendor scorecards that effectively monitor deliverables.
Leads the analysis and documentation on how the business needs impacts other systems and processes and plans/organizes work for others.
Performs complex data collection and analysis needed to compile cost-benefit vendor analysis and project rationalization.
Leader in writing use cases, specifications, business requirements and test conditions
Performs hands-on development efforts using available technology and programs for prototype, testing or production use.
Research and gain insight into regulatory changes and requirements that impact the business.
Perform and manage vendor/outsource opportunities and analysis – write and review RFI/RFP and responses, work with other groups on due diligence, support ongoing relationship analysis and performance monitoring.
Ability to plan and organize and manage other team members.

4+ years of combined experience in mortgage or IT supporting mortgage originations Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements Understanding and proven experience applying knowledge of downstream and upstream impacts and risks (such as regulatory/compliance concerns, Vendor operational changes) in a mortgage origination business.
Able to quickly learn, access complex problems and conceptualize solutions to be deployed through technology or process improvements.
Creative problem-solver who combines analytical skills with technical proficiencies to deliver quality results.
Driven and self-motivated, must be able to provide large output working independently as well as part of team.
Performs well in a fast-paced team environment and manage/drive multiple requests to successful completion in a prompt and professional manner while communicating issue/status to appropriate stakeholders.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects and documents/requests/changes combined with the ability to be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
Proven ability to clearly articulate, effectively author and present complex requirement documents, including the benefit analysis, both verbally and written.
Ability to act as effective front-runner between/among business departments, senior management, and IT/consultants/technology.
Ability to manage/participate/lead user acceptance testing and provide training on the new feature/process.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities, demands and tight timelines using analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability in authoring and analyzing ‘Process Flow’ diagrams.

Job Description Job Summary: The IT Business Analyst reports to the PMO Senior Manager, as part of the Solution Delivery Information Technology team, to provide analysis of user requests and development of well-defined, documented requirements for new systems and modifications to existing systems. This role works closely and collaboratively with users from all At Home departments, and is involved with all aspects of the corporate systems lifecycle including design, development, and support of the deployed solutions. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Work closely with IT Management, Software developers, and business users to identify and/or create Business & Functional Requirements and As-is & To-Be Processes for At Home's Point of Sale systems. Actively participates in identifying system impacts, defining high level solutions and facilitating work effort estimation on Project or System Enhancement requests. Understand and advocate for Agile best practices for all disciplines. Defines and documents IT functions and processes. Work with IT/Business to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. Acts as a liaison between IT and Business in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of Point of Sale systems to ensure optimal operational performance. Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training. Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes. Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions and requirements. Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality. Directs or participates in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, and technical. Develops policy and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service. Assist QA Analyst with testing execution, bug tracking, re-test and user acceptance testing as needed. Must be a self-starter and be able work well in fast paced, dynamic environment. Qualifications & Competencies: Five to seven or more years of experience designing and creating Business & Functional Requirements, As-is & To-Be Processes, and Business Case. Five to seven or more years of experience in a retail point-of-sale and payment processing environment. Strong, end-to-end understanding and experience with knowledge of system development life cycles. Strong understanding and hands on experience with Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile/SCRUM Methodology Working ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and the organization. Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency and ease. Strong customer service focus. Ability to take little direction and achieve quality results independently. Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English, including the ability to provide clear, constructive direction and feedback to team members. Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent year-for-year experience preferred. Relevant retail experience related to any of the following areas: store operations, warehouse distribution, store allocation, merchandising, marketing, accounting, and finance.
