You will be responsible for the refactoring, development, and deployment of a software application that meets the specific needs of our clients. You will work closely with stakeholders, product DevOps teams, managers, and other engineers to ensure successful project delivery. The successful candidate will:<ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain custom the Customs applications software using Java, JSP, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders and product managers to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications </li><li>Implement Agile methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle </li><li>Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively with other team members </li><li>Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps </li><li>Implement DevSecOps best practices, including image scanning, secrets management, and vulnerability assessment in Docker containers </li><li>Utilize tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Dependency Check, OWASP, ESLint, and Trufflehog for static code analysis and security scanning </li><li>Design and implement automated testing frameworks using tools like Jest, Pytest, Cypress, etc. </li><li>Monitor and log application performance and troubleshoot any issues </li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the software development industry </li></ul>Education and Certifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, or a closely related technical field is required for many of our projects. We will consider candidates with associate degrees or certificates in the areas listed above in combination with experience.  Qualifications: <ul><li>4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on web-based software development </li><li>Security + certification (or IAT level II equivalent)</li><li>Strong proficiency in Java programming language with experience in JSP and/or the Spring Framework</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)</li><li>Expertise in Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)</li><li>In-depth understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices for containerized environments</li><li>Working knowledge of security tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Dependency Check, OWASP, ESLint, and Trufflehog</li><li>Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools like Jest, Pytest, Cypress, etc.</li><li>Understanding of software monitoring and logging techniques (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.)</li><li>Experience with one or more additional programming languages like GoLang, JavaScript, etc. (a plus)</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills </li></ul>Clearance: Must hold and maintain at minimum an active secret clearance.
