I was surprised that there were so many behavioral questions and that the interviewer went into so much depth to understand those experiences. I also had a "stress interview" which made me very nervous and I felt I messed up that round. I felt I did great in my onsite SQL round and was surprised that my phone screen SQL round was cleared even though I felt I didn't do very well on it.

There were three phone interviews followed by an on-site interview. During the on-site interview I talked to five different interviewers. All the interviews were focused on Amazon's leadership principles plus one technical interview to test my programming skills.

The interview process - HR call followed by a second call with the actual manager. During the HR call we discussed salary expectations and the process continued, to find out at the end that the maximum clip level available was well below the requested salary. Disappointed by the selection process and informations provided.

There were not the typical interview questions like "why Amazon?" or "where do you see yourself in 5 years?". There were basically behavioural questions, asking about past situations and how you dealt with them. Previous preparation is helpful. Be prepared to describe in detail the situations you refer to.

Three rounds with phone interviews, online numerical reasoning test. Finally for the last round, four in person interviews focused on Amazon's leadership principles (fourty five minutes each). Quite long and difficult but no surprise
